I must confess — I have a love for Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, maybe its because I too love White Castle (and have since before the movie) to the point where I drive out of state to get my hands on it. Maybe it’s because of the fact that the locations they speak about in the movie are painfully close to the White Castle I go to… but mostly it is probably because its well timed comedy that never lets up once it gets started…

…and I’m not even a stoner!

With that said the fact that a sequel is coming out made me happy and sad. I would love to revisit that world and laugh again with the characters… but also I know they can mess it up and mess it up BAD…

So when a teaser poster was revealed.. it made me smile… and laugh… and realize maybe going back to the well this time might work.. and work well!

If you’ve been following “Why So Serious” and its pumpkin you’ve probably noticed something kind of… different going on with it.

As we know the candle has been burning down ever so slowly hinting at a major reveal on what appears to be Halloween (this wednesday!). The latest news is that the pumpkin is now rotting on only ONE SIDE… the left side… which screams only one thing to me… TWO-FACE.

Could this mean that we are going to see the reveal of two-face… I can’t say for sure.. but what I *CAN* say is that I’m excited to find out.

If you’ve read our news about Cloverfield you’ve come to realize that I am a HUGE advocate of Viral Marketing. It’s the next step in movie promotion and when done right can enhance the movie going experience — but you don’t really MISS too much if you don’t want to be bothered. It’s the next evolution in movie teasers and I welcome it with open arms… as long as it’s done right.

Another example of it going right was discovered semi-recently over at Why So Serious? where a pumpkin that more than resembles the pumpkin from the cover of “The Long Halloween”… in fact it is exactly the same pumpkin. Talk about getting it right… as we all know “The Long Halloween” tells the origins of Two-Face (aka Harvey Dent), continues the story of Carmine Falcone and the mysterious killings to his entire Mafia Clan.

Now what’s going on from what we can tell over at Why So Serious since this pumpkin has appeared the candle on the inside has been slowly melting and going away over time… with a major announcement probably coming around the time that candle goes out… October 31st 2007…. Halloween.

What could be happening in the upcoming Batman film “The Dark Knight” ? What are we going to see when that candle goes out? Only one way to find out… wait til October 31st and visit the site!

Nothing much to really update but John Rambo has an official poster… and ANOTHER name change… this time now known as just RAMBO it has an awesome SIN CITY meets Friday The 13th vibe going for it… I like it.

Lately too many posters and marketing gimmicks have been pushing forward the whole “Floating Head” problem… in fact its been that way since the 90’s… I’m glad we’re moving away from that and going towards more classic styled posters that I’d want to hang up on my wall!

Hey everyone, quick post from my cell phone here — for those who are keeping up on cloverfield/11808 stuff, the slusho.jp website was recently updated with new information reguarding Tagruato and distribution opportunities. Included is a phone number to call. Its a Japanese number so I said “WTF” and called it anyway. What happens is it goes to an answering service, which is entirely in Japanese…. anyone out there know how to translate Japanese properly want to help us figure out WTF is going on?

Also Tagruato.jp is up and running and has some more information on the “deep sea nectar” that helps make up Slusho, which also appeared on the back of the Japanese Chef’s picture on 1-18-08.com — which we know probably brings our lovely sea creature back from the depths.
