So if you weren’t paying attention at all last week, there was what seemed to be a new Mortal Kombat Movie Trailer. This turned to just be a director sending something to Warner Brothers to show what they could do with the franchise. However, just three days ago, this was released. The Mortal Kombat (Video Game) E3 2010 trailer! Now, for my opinions. I think it’s awesome that the franchise is still living after Midway’s recent Chapter 11 ordeal. MK is one of my favorite franchises of all time, and this trailer did not disappoint. My favorite character is Johnny Cage, and him actually being in this game (as opposed to not being in MK VS DC Universe) is awesome. From the opening death stare of Shao Khan, to Kung Lao’s hat being used to saw a guy’s groin in half, this trailer does not disappoint. From the looks of it, some of the stages look like 3D remakes of the MKII stages, (IE: The Forest). This just looks like it won’t disappoint. Even some of the cyborg characters whose names escape me because I didn’t play those games are in it. That’s just graphics. Did you notice that there were four characters on screen at once? Tag Team Kombat, y’all! I’m incredibly anticipated for this game, and I want it now. But, according to the press release, we’ll have to wait until 2011 for this game. Hopefully more information surfaces as E3 goes on.
