AKA One Hour and Forty-Seven Minutes of Sheer Torture.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a fucking huge horror movie fan. I’ve seen them all and if I haven’t seen it; point me to where I can get a copy of it. Like most horror fans I got my start when I was very young and impressionable, viewing things I really shouldn’t be watching — to be fair. Now I look back on things, I am 26 and still love horror movies as much as the first time I’ve seen one. I tried to make this short but I have to get my point across…

That’s right! I said it. Fuck Disney!

Metal band Machine head’s US tour begins tonight. Two days ago Disney decided to pressure Live Nation and The House of Blues location in Anaheim California into banning the show. They have also banned any Metal Bands from performing there in the future. So, far one other show has been forced to switch venues. If you look at the upcoming shows there, there are many more metal shows that have to been scheduled. It will be interesting to see what happens to these shows. Disney cites violent imagery, undesirable fans and inflammatory lyrics as the reason. Undesirable Fans?!?! Who the hell do they think they are?

I understand that Machine Head’s music is not family friendly. I can also understand that Disney may not want this type of show on their property. That’s their choice. But to blatantly insult the fans of heavy metal music is not necessary. Doesn’t Disney realize that Metal Heads have kids too. Our kids watch your station, see your movies, and buy your ridiculously priced merchandise. So it’s really smart to insult us and call us undesirable.

Fuck you! Fuck Disney! Fuck Mickey! Fuck Donald, Goofy, and Pluto!

Happy Pre-Labor Day!

This past week, as always, was spent spending money. I really shouldn’t as I have too many bills and other things I should be saving for; the problem with this is I am a geek on several different levels. I ‘m into music, video games, comics, movies, computers, technology, nerd-wear, toys, gadgets, etc. all of this combined means my paychecks disappear faster than they should.

I, like many of you, forego responsibilities on a constant basis just to be able to get a few more collectable things to add to my collections. To be honest it’s almost like a drug I assume.
