Who will be the new Captain America?

The headline has trickled out of the ream of Marvel comics and out into the mainstream media including Newsweek, NY Daily News and the most prestigious of news outlets, the Colbert Report with Stephen Colbert. The shock of Captain America’s death has left us all reeling but a more important question is who will now become the living embodiment of America? Marvel released the following image from an upcoming issue of Punisher War Journal. Captain America’s headgear is clearly visible and as any astute reader of Civil War can tell you, Frank Castle is the one who picked up Cap’s mask after he surrendered to Iron Man in Civil War #7. The other image is that of journalist Stephen Colbert who it seems was left Cap’s shield in the recently uncovered last will and testament of Steve Rogers. What direction will this take the country in the post Civil War world? Will we follow the gun happy killer of killers the Punisher or the countries #1 source of truthiness?   • I know we've been really slacking on updates -- however sometimes it looks like the "we" is a "me". I haven't really heard from Calypso or Tommy in quite a long time and it's been getting tough to update from work and when I'm home I just want to sleep. I'm sorry for the slow updates since the Bigfoot Mania. I'm working on a few reviews (Hellboy 2, Tropic Thunder, Metallica's "Death Magnetic") as well as a few featured articles about Binaural Beats, and other weird things like such. Not to mention the fact that the curiosity of life is slowly wearing thin as I get older... but thats for an entire post I am sure... also I am holding back from doing yet another site redesign because well I get bored... often.

  • So I'm sitting at work and needed a drink so I got up, went to the Caf. checked out the vending machine next to the water machine and saw these: Starburst GummiBursts! Yeah I may be on a diet but this was new and exciting. Could they capture starbursts unique flavor joy in a squishy gummi with a juicy center? Quick answer. YES.
